Positive Behaviour for Learning award winners announced

The Term 2 Week 4 winners of PBL awards.

THE Term 2 Week 4 winners of Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) awards have been revealed.

Week 4 winners:

Irrawang Public School: Congratulations to Kalyn on receiving a Community PBL award in recognition of his outstanding respect demonstrated at the ANZAC Day march and representing Irrawang Public School with pride.

Raymond Terrace Public School: Elliot is nominated for the respect he shows to all. While Elliot shines in all group activities assisting everyone to experience success, it is in social situations where his leadership qualities stand out. While in the playground he is inclusive to all around him. He has been noticed by many people going out of his way to include all students in his and his friends’ games and encouraging his friends to do the same.

Grahamstown Public School: Lindee is a wonderful role model to her peers and consistently demonstrates a helpful and responsible attitude. As a proud Library Monitor, she assists students in finding books and games during break times and supports teachers in the library. Lindee also assists Mrs Bartush in the canteen with various tasks and helps students during lunch service. She consistently demonstrates PBL values through her kindness, initiative and willingness to help others.

Irrawang High School: Congratulations to School Captain and Co–Drum Corps Captain Liam on his PBL Award nomination. Liam represented his school with pride, integrity and professionalism, leading the Drum Corps at both the Medowie and Raymond Terrace ANZAC Day services. Liam is a fantastic role model, consistently demonstrating PBL values of respect, responsibility and personal best.

Hunter River High School: Maddison is nominated for her outstanding commitment to helping keep students safe at school. She consistently demonstrates responsibility, awareness, and care for her peers, contributing to a positive and secure learning environment.

Salt Ash Public School: Tyrone has been nominated for demonstrating impressive personal growth and persistence during the swimming carnival. He gave it his best effort, never gave up and showed great resilience throughout. By representing his team with determination and a positive attitude he truly embodied the PBL value of being a positive learner.

Medowie Public School: Tom is a responsible student. He stayed and looked after a lost three-year-old girl, waiting until help arrived. What a wonderful citizen Tom is.

Seaham Public School: Hugo received a Community PBL award in term four, 2025. He continues to be a caring and compassionate student who goes above and beyond in supporting others. Recently a Seaham Public School staff member tripped in the playground resulting in pain and injury. Hugo rushed to the scene to provide assistance. Hugo helped and supported the staff member which really helped the situation.

Karuah Public School: Rihanna is nominated for showing care for others and making sure everyone feels included. Her commitment to doing what is right and her willingness to speak up for herself and her peers make her a great role model. Rihanna will often volunteer to take on extra responsibilities to help staff and peers.
