ADVERTISING FEATURE: Raymond Terrace StrikeZone transformed into Christmas wonderland

RAYMOND Terrace StrikeZone tenpin bowl has been transformed into a Christmas wonderland complete with Santa’s grotto where parents can take their own Chrissy photos absolutely free of charge.

One bemused regular commented that she thought last year’s display was great, but this year’s is “beyond belief.”

StrikeZone owner Neville Marchbank is reluctant to say how much he has spent on the display, for fear his better half will find out.

“Suffice to say last year was a three zero effort and we may have substantially added to that,” Neville said.

“But it’s worth it to see the looks on the faces of the children who come into our centre week after week.

“Even the big kids appear delighted and isn’t that what this season is all about?”

Santa’s grotto is delighting families.

Featuring Santa and Mary Clause complete with a reindeer, it is a perfect backdrop for photos of the children.

Indeed, there’s room for the whole family and it is completely free.

Just bring your own phone or camera.

The festive season may be well under way, but there’s no rest for the staff who are busy planning new leagues for next year.

Announced in the past few weeks are a children’s Saturday league and a football league where you nominate your team’s winning margin for bonus points of your own.

A new disability league is in the process of being firmed up.

Due to start in February, it will run on Thursday mornings at 10.30am with $6 game prices.

Ask for details of these new leagues when you are in the centre enjoying their traditional holiday game discounts.
