Irrawang High School

Irrawang High School is proud to be a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) school and a valued partner in the Raymond Terrace Community PBL program.

Through our PBL framework, students are encouraged and recognised for consistently demonstrating our core values of Respect, Responsibility and Personal Best.

These values are reinforced both in the classroom and beyond the school gates, helping students develop into respectful, responsible and active members of the community.

It has been wonderful to see so many of our students acknowledged for their positive behaviour and responsible citizenship throughout the Port Stephens community.

Our partnership with the Raymond Terrace Community PBL program strengthens the connection between schools, local businesses and the wider community, celebrating the positive impact young people make every day.

Irrawang PS

Evy demonstrated our school values of Safety, Responsibility, Learning and Respect throughout camp. She showed persistence and resilience when faced with challenges, supported her peers, and was always willing to help without being asked. Her outstanding manners, kindness and positive attitude made her a wonderful role model. Well done Evy!

Raymond Terrace PS

Hudson has shown great care and support in helping another student adjust to catching the bus home. He made sure she felt safe and supported by accompanying her along the way and regularly checking in on her during bus rides. His thoughtful actions have made a positive difference.

Grahamstown PS

Ariana has been an outstanding representative of our school through her enthusiastic involvement in a wide range of creative arts and performance opportunities. From Film by the Water and Showcase to Public Speaking, Debating and Wakakirri, Ariana consistently approaches each opportunity with confidence, enthusiasm and a willingness to give her best. She proudly represents our school, supports those around her and embraces every opportunity to participate and perform. Ariana’s dedication, positive attitude and commitment make her a wonderful role model and a fantastic representative of our school.

Irrawang HS

At the recent NSW Netball Schools Cup Daniel gave all that he had to every game, continually asked questions to extend his knowledge of the game and displayed all PBL values of Respect, Responsibility and Personal Best  throughout the day. Congratulations Daniel for your sportsmanship and initiative.

Hunter River HS

Sofia has been nominated for a Community PBL Award by a staff member from Salt Ash PS in recognition of her outstanding contribution during their Education Week celebrations.

Sofia volunteered her time to support Stage 1 students as they participated in a range of STEM activities. Throughout the session, she demonstrated kindness, patience and encouragement, creating a positive and supportive learning environment for the younger students. Her caring interactions, willingness to help and positive attitude made a meaningful impact and reflected the values of our school community.

Salt Ash PS

Aria has been nominated for our Community PBL Award for her caring and thoughtful actions. During MiniLit, Aria generously chose to give her reward to another student, showing wonderful kindness and consideration for others. Aria consistently demonstrates our PBL values by being positive, respectful and caring each and every day. She is always looking out for others and is a wonderful role model within our school community. We are so proud of you, Aria. Keep being amazing!

Medowie PS

Olivia demonstrated outstanding commitment and enthusiasm by attending every relay training session over five weeks, despite being a reserve for the Zone Athletics Carnival. Her positive attitude, perseverance and willingness to contribute to the team are to be commended. Congratulations on being such a fantastic role model!

Seaham PS

Ed is always a respectful, responsible learner. He always follows the school rules and is respectful to all members of the school community. Ed is a member of the Seaham guitar group and his support and encouragement of others is evident during the lessons

Karuah PS

Shonequa is nominated for her exceptional initiative and helpfulness. When a lost dog wandered into the local IGA, she calmly guided the dog outside and stayed with it until the owner arrived. Her readiness to assist enabled the IGA staff to continue serving customers smoothly, making a meaningful and positive impact. Way to go Shonequa.
