NELSON Bay Marlins AFL stars Charlotte Connick and Annalise Norton have been named in the Hunter Central Coast Black Diamond Senior Women’s Cup Team of the Year.
Classy midfielder Connick and follower Norton were recognised for their standout performances during the Marlins’ 2026 premiership campaign.
Nelson Bay mentor Glenn Waide was also named the Coach of the Year in the Senior Women’s Cup.
It’s a huge honour for the Marlins trio and just reward for consistent displays this year.
All three played key roles in helping Nelson Bay reach the semi-finals, where they bowed out after a loss to third-ranked Cardiff Hawks.
The Black Diamond Senior Women’s Cup Team of the Year also includes defenders Caitlin Pickett and Amy Seskin (Cardiff Hawks); Tamara Nicholas and Billie Jeffery (Terrigal Avoca Panthers); Meghann Dawkins (Warners Bay Bulldogs); forwards Mias Wilson (Killarney Vale Bombers), Ruby Spark and Caitlin Holcombe (Newcastle City Blues), Tara Grace Brawley (Cardiff Hawks) and Amy Younger (Warners Bay Bulldogs) and midfielders Sarah Halvorsen (Newcastle City Blues); Kristen Kessler, Brooke Turner and Lily Davidson (Killarney Vale Bombers), and Aurelia Russell (Maitland Saints).
Other interchange players include Ariel Gillies and Jodie Hicks (Terrigal Avoca Panthers), Savannah Newton (Cardiff Hawks), Jasmine Wellings and Maddie Mueller (Warners Bay Bulldogs).
