Term 3 Week 4 PBL WINNERS

THE winners of Term 3 Week 4 Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) awards were recently celebrated at an event at Karuah Public school.

Karuah Public School is proud to be part of the PBL) program. By explicitly teaching and modelling our expectations every fortnight, we promote unity through our core values of Respect, Responsibility, and Pride. For many years, we have celebrated and recognised the positive contributions of our students both within the school and the wider Port Stephens community. The Raymond Terrace Community PBL initiative provides an opportunity for our students to be acknowledged beyond the school for their positive impact on their local communities.

This wonderful display of attentiveness and respect truly reflected the positive spirit of sportsmanship. Congratulations Mikayla!

Seaham PS

Ayla is a delight and a much loved member of the Seaham school community. Ayla’s smile brightens up everyone’s day and her caring nature has a positive impact on all in her class and beyond. Ayla is respectful and responsible and always tries hard to include all in her games.

Karuah PS

Jacob is nominated for showing great kindness and leadership during an Oz Tag game at school. When a younger student, unsure of the rules, scored a try, Jacob encouraged all students playing to recognise the effort and celebrate the achievement. He stepped in to support the younger student and reminded others to be patient and understanding as our younger students are still learning. Jacob’s actions created a positive and inclusive environment for everyone. Way to go Jacob!
