Seaham Public School is excited to again be part of Community PBL.

PBL at Seaham is valuable in setting up processes to support students in being the best they can be.

We have high expectations in supporting our students to be respectful, responsible learners.

Community PBL allows us to celebrate students who have had a positive impact within our school and within the broader community.

Irrawang PS

Jaylan proudly represented Irrawang Public School in the NAIDOC march, demonstrating outstanding respect throughout the day. Following the march, he enthusiastically participated in the NAIDOC activities, showing kindness, patience and leadership as he supported and encouraged our younger students. He should be commended for being a positive role model and embracing the spirit of NAIDOC through his actions. Well done Jaylan!

Raymond Terrace PS

Harley is nominated for the support he gives to others, especially younger students who find it hard to get into school. He greets them with a smile and calm voice, checks to see if they need a hand, walks with them to put their bag away and makes sure they have a friend to play with before doing his own thing. He has never been asked to do this, he does it because he sees a need, truly acting responsibly.

Grahamstown PS

Damon is nominated for the pride he takes in caring for our school environment and the positive example he sets for others. He regularly spends his break times helping others and picking up rubbish to keep our playground clean and welcoming for everyone. Damon demonstrates kindness, responsibility and community spirit through his actions and is always willing to lend a hand when needed. His efforts make a valuable contribution to our school community and reflect our PBL values every day. Well done, Damon

Irrawang HS

Wil generously gave up his own weekend time to support and mentor a younger student in preparation for the Zone Athletics Carnival last term. His willingness to help others and encourage participation, demonstrates outstanding community spirit and leadership.

Hunter River HS

Jordan demonstrated outstanding initiative and teamwork during a recent debating event. When a team member was suddenly unable to participate due to illness, Jordan stepped in at the last minute despite having no prior debating experience. He quickly adapted, contributed effectively, and helped the team secure a win in the round.

Salt Ash PS

Jaxon has been nominated for this award for consistently demonstrating kindness, leadership and inclusion during kick tennis. He encourages other students by ensuring his peers and younger students have the opportunity to participate. Jaxon’s positive attitude and thoughtful actions make him a wonderful role model within our school community. Well done, Jaxon!

Medowie PS

Shakiah is a caring and empathetic school citizen. During travel to and from school on the bus, she actively supports other students and ensures they are happy and safe. Shakiah is an upstander, always ensuring everyone is being treated fairly. Amazing work, Shakiah!

Seaham PS

Grayson has been observed this year showing care and compassion for other students, particularly one student in kindergarten who has struggled at times in the playground. Grayson’s support has really made a difference to this student as he transitions into school life.

Karuah PS

Ashton has been nominated for his outstanding support of a younger community member at the local skate park. He went out of his way to warmly welcome, teach, and encourage the young rider to ride his bike at the park. Thanks to Ashton’s encouragement, the younger community member gained the confidence to remove his training wheels. Well done, Ashton!
