TOO many fundraising ideas are old hat and far too few involve fun – until now.
Raymond Terrace StrikeZone tenpin bowl has a host of fundraising ideas, not the least of which is a half-day gala.
The bowl will package a day for your group and give you a per-head buy price. You then on-sell it at a loading, attracting the bowlers and running novelty events, mini raffles etc, throughout the day.
At a top level, the bowl’s package can include food, cash prizes, celebrity bowler auctions and much more – all based around a mini tournament of, say, four games.
Into the mix, the bowl could even throw a free arcade games card for each participant.
In early 2026, the possibilities will be endless with the opening of a licensed pool and darts room downstairs and a mini golf course upstairs.
A recent survey of more than 100 centre bowlers showed that these attractions are sure winners.
“Not surprisingly, pool and mini golf rated the best, but once people see the leading edge electronic darts, I am sure that they will be blown away,” said StrikeZone owner Neville Marchbank.
Currently the bowl is launching a series of new leagues including a Saturday morning league for children, a new Thursday morning league for the disabled and a league where you predict your team’s winning margin for bonus points.
Currently, festive season lights and colour at StrikeZone has everyone’s attention, along with unbeatable discounted holiday prices.
