Term 3 Week 8 PBL winners

THIS week’s Positive Behaviour for Learning Awards were hosted by Grahamstown Public School.

Irrawang PS

ARIA is an outstanding representative of Irrawang Public School, proudly representing our school at Zone Public Speaking and through her participation in Bridge Building. She demonstrates confidence, creativity and perseverance, embracing challenges with enthusiasm and determination. Aria consistently demonstrates our school values of Safety, Responsibility, Learning and Respect, making her a wonderful ambassador for our school. Well done Aria!

Raymond Terrace PS

Ari proudly represents our school and community by sharing his knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture with others. Through his artwork and cultural knowledge, he inspires and teaches those around him while celebrating the importance of culture, identity and community. His participation in the Indigenous Round initiative was a wonderful example of Ari sharing his talents with pride and making a positive contribution. We are incredibly proud of the way Ari represents our school and culture.

Grahamstown PS

Eden has shown wonderful community spirit by volunteering her own time before school and during break times to help in the school canteen. She assists with preparing food, serving her peers and helping in the canteen. Eden is always kind, polite and helpful, showing a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to lend a hand. Well done, Eden!

Irrawang HS

Congratulations to our recipient Megan this week. Megan demonstrated incredible commitment by recently completing a 35km journey from Barton Field to Foreshore Park to raise awareness and funds for Mitochondrial Disease. Alongside Emalynne, she raised an amazing $2063, exceeding their $1500 target. Well done Megan on your determination and community spirit, and demonstrating our PBL values of Respect, Responsibility and Personal Best.

Hunter River HS

Tiara responded quickly and calmly to a medical incident, demonstrating outstanding composure and empathy. She provided invaluable support to a staff member while waiting for other staff and emergency services to arrive, showing exceptional teamwork and care during a challenging situation.

Salt Ash PS

Fletcher is receiving this Award for demonstrating outstanding respect for culture. He confidently shared his cultural knowledge with younger peers during Wakakirri, mentoring them and explaining the importance of ochre in Aboriginal dance. Fletcher has shown great pride in his culture while helping others learn, connect and understand its significance. Well done, Fletcher!

Medowie PS

Teddy demonstrated outstanding commitment and enthusiasm by attending every relay training session over five weeks, despite being a reserve for the Athletics Carnival. His positive attitude, perseverance and willingness to contribute to the team are to be commended. Congratulations on being such a fantastic role model!

Seaham PS

Cooper is a caring student who goes above and beyond in the playground. He was spotted showing care for a student who was upset. He offered assistance, then alerted a teacher when he couldn’t solve the problem. Soon after he was spotted assisting another student. Well done, Cooper.

Karuah PS

Hudson is nominated for demonstrating community spirit, responsibility and respect. While out riding with a friend, Hudson came across a little child’s learning bike. Rather than leaving it behind, Hudson brought the bike home, made an online post on the local community page with his mum and then waited patiently until the owner’s dad came to collect the bike. What a great example of making sure someone else’s belongings are returned safely. Way to go Hudson!
