Week 8 PBL winners announced

GRAHAMSTOWN Public School hosted the Term 2 Week 8 Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) awards. Here are the winners:

Irrawang PS: Madeline is a dedicated school and STAR Leader. She has been nominated for her commitment to our kindergarten students. Madeline ensures that they are greeted with a friendly smile each day and assists them to arrive at class feeling safe and happy. Well done Madeline.

Raymond Terrace PS: Lilliana has been recognised for her ongoing support with Playgroup each Thursday. Lilliana consistently helps move Playgroup equipment into the hall and is always helpful and reliable, making the setup process quicker and easier for everyone involved.

Grahamstown PS: Jaiden is an outstanding all-round student who consistently demonstrates our school’s PBL values of Safety, Respect and Personal Best. As School Captain, he leads with integrity and is a positive role model for his peers, while also playing a key role in supporting and promoting cultural initiatives across our school. Jaiden actively participates in all sporting opportunities and consistently exemplifies outstanding sportsmanship, representing both our school and opposing teams with respect. His respectful, driven and motivated nature makes him a wonderful representative of both our school and the wider community.

Irrawang HS: Mia has been selected to feature in the Star Struck 2026 Acknowledgement of Country video, recognising her as a proud and positive representative of Aboriginal culture. Mia’s warm, passionate and respectful nature makes her a wonderful representative of both her school and the wider community.

Congratulations Mia on demonstrating our school PBL values of Respect, Responsibility and Personal Best.

Hunter River HS: Tiana is a very responsible and engaged student who consistently demonstrates the school’s PBL values. She is always willing to take on tasks and responsibilities, showing initiative and a strong commitment to her learning. Tiana consistently uses respectful language in all classroom interactions, helping to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Salt Ash PS: Sol is receiving this Community PBL Award for showing positive and respectful behaviour at the athletics carnival. He cheered on and encouraged others during their races, and stepped up to run in the relay team when his house was short a runner. Sol showed great teamwork and school spirit throughout the day. Well done, Sol!

Medowie PS: Cleo is a very caring student. She is organising with her family a donation drive of essential items to take to Mystery Island on her upcoming holiday. This is going to make a big difference  and shows the empathy she has for others. Congratulations, Cleo, on a great initiative!

Seaham PS: Clare is a wonderful student who has thrived in her first year of school at Seaham Public School. Clare greets everyone with a smile and brightens the room wherever she goes. Clare recently supported another new student in kindergarten who was anxious about entering the classroom. Thank you Clare for being so caring.

Karuah PS: Dalila is nominated for fundraising for Ronald McDonald House. Dalila participated in a dance challenge where she danced every day for three weeks to raise money for sick kids. Dalila raised close to $700 for Ronald McDonald House. Outstanding Dalila!
