EVERY year when the June long weekend rolls around, we see visitors heading to the Camden Haven for everything it has to offer.
But why save it for one weekend?
Camden Haven is one of those places that doesn’t need a special event or holiday to shine.
It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, grab a coffee by the water, take a walk along the river, explore the town, and support local businesses.
Whether it’s crisp winter mornings watching the sun rise over the river, exploring the local markets, long summer days out on the water or taking in the beauty around North Brother, Camden Haven always has something special waiting to be discovered.
A huge part of keeping the region thriving is the work done by the Camden Haven Chamber of Commerce.
These volunteers help support the visitor economy, community events and local connections – showcasing everything that makes the area special.
The chamber’s vision is simple: building pride in the community while encouraging people to discover its hidden treasures.
If you are looking for one of those iconic Camden Haven experiences, it is hard to go past Dunbogan Boatshed and Marina.
Sitting right on the Camden Haven River, this local gem offers coffee, light meals, fish feeding, boat hire, bait and tackle, and one of the best outlooks around.
You can sit on the deck, watch the boats drift by, feed the fish and even spot dolphins if you are lucky.
It is one of those places visitors remember and locals never get tired of.
So yes, come for the June Long Weekend.
But come back in July. Visit in spring. Bring the family in summer. Escape in autumn.
Camden Haven isn’t just a destination for a long weekend, it is a place to experience all year round.
